  • Notes
    • From the 1841 England Census for Armley, Yorkshire (HO107 Piece 1342 Book 1 Folio 29 Page 5) Robert, 70, Woollen Teaser, was in Towngate, Armley, Yorkshire, England. With him were Sarah Redshaw, 20, Stuff Weaver, and James Dufton, 10. Everyone was recorded as having been born in Yorkshire.

Note: Whether Sarah was a granddaughter or niece I do not know, at present. I think granddaughter as there is a marriage between a Sarah Redshaw and a John Perigo on 5 Sep 1841. Sarah's father was given as James, Clothier. John's father was also James, a Flax Dresser. In the 1851 Census for Holbeck the family is a large one but, there is a James Perigo, age 13, down as their son but the only one I can find is the son of a John and Esther Perigo. Perhaps this James was Sarah's baseborn child but I have no proof as yet.

Description: Hi, I stumbled on your great family tree. I have been doing some research on my own line and was wondering if you had any info or had heard of 2 other children of John's which don't appear on your tree, a John (christened 4 Oct 1795) and a Michael (christened 13 July 1796)
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
      Kind Regards,
      Wayne Redshaw
