    • 1st m. 25.10.1930 Phyllis Amelia Grant. 2 Chn. She d. 7(?).2.1957. 2nd m. 1958 Sylvia Dorothea O'Shea. d. 1984 0 Chn. He joined Bank of New South Wales in Sydney in 1917. Worked in Sydney and the country until 1923 when he was transferred to Fiji where he served at Suva, Levuka, and Lautoka. Returned to Australia 1927. Worked in Sydney and country until appointment as manager at Tallimba in central western N.S.W., Gulargambone, N.W., N.S.W. and Queanbeyan, near Canberra. Subsequently was inspecting, auditing, and relieving, and for last five years before retirement in 1965 was on Legal Administration.

      Both liked rowing, sailing, swimming, tennis, touring and camping. Phyllis was a commercial artist before marriage and specialised in poker work. Whilst at Queanbeyan took up hand made pottery as a hobby and was outstanding. Sewed, knitted, made dresses, made hats. Interested in church work and community affairs. Through her efforts at Tallamba a school bus service was commenced, and a room for the C.W.A. erected, at Queanbeyan whilst president of the C.W.A. she organised the purchase and alteration of a building for C.W.A. headquarters. A competent bowler. Arthur also was interested in community affairs and church matters. Played bowls and golf. Took a position with a legal firm doing conveyancing matters in 1967. Residence. Manley, N.S.W.

      Sylvia was formerly married to James Desmond O'Shea, an engineer and chemical engineer with the Commonwealth Government. Specialised in munitions manufacture, and during the 1939-45 War supervised these matters in Victoria, W.A. and Queensland.

      He died in 1952. Sylvia's mother died in 1953. Her father was presumed killed in London during a bombing attack by the Germans. Sylvia and her husband had a year in England for his studies in 1938 and she had another year in 1954. Interested in Music and literature, and played golf and swam. Now works for charity clubs, mainly V.I.E.W. Club for Smith's Family and Foundation for Disabled.
