From the 1871 Census (RG10 Piece 4520 Folio 59 Page 30) Samuel, 13, Errand Boy, was with his parents Joseph, 40, Forgeman, and Sarah Ann, 37, at 18 Bath Road, Holbeck, Leeds, Yorkshire, England. With him were his sisters Martha A, 18, Book Sewer, Hannah M, 17, Domestic House Worker, Sarah D, 14, Book Sewer, Charlotte H, 11, Harriet, 10, and Maria, 6, all Scholars.
