  • Notes
    • Within the Collins family the name has always [well, maybe not by everybody] been Francis Danvers, born 27/12/1827, in Sydney.

Kay Vinson found the record in the LDS records in Sydney that it was actually Fanny Danvers Collins, virtually certainly a girl. The record also gives the B date as 1/12/1827.

Thomas' death certificate notes a deceased child as Fanny.

The LDS record also states she was born on the "Elizabeth" - probably they lived on board rather than ashore at that time, and the birth may well have taken place in Sydney harbour.

Jennifer Collins confirms that Thomas' bible records her as Frances Danvers. [1]
