  • Notes
    • I met him, his wife, and daughter Robin, at their home [small ramshackle farm] at Cooberrie, near Yeppoon in May 1998.

Known as Bob. He spent all of the war years in Changi gaol a POW of the Japanese. Suffered greatly and never fully recovered. Spends much of his time watching sattelite TV - a dish is on the roof. Seems friendly but nephew Bob says he has his "off" days.

He was rather weak and fragile. Looks like a Collins. Nursed by his wife, a very chatty woman. Daughter Robin has physical and perhaps mental disabilities, thought to be due to the very weakened state of Bob after his imprisonment.

Aunty Cherry and Uncle Jack stayed with them for some time when they visited Australia. Either Max or Graham visited while they were there but quickly left, complaining about the state of the house!

He worked at Millungara Station about 105km north of Julia Creek for some time. His Uncle Jack managed Millungara. [1]
