Mary Ann and Harriett are living in Hawkhurst, in Conservative Row. There is no sign of William.
1851 census:
Family now in London, living at 4 Harold Place, Paddington.
William is working as a general dealer. Selina is not with the family - nor anywhere else on the census; Caroline appears for the one and only time. Is Caroline really Selina?
1861 census:
Still living in Harold Place.
William is a grocer.
1871 census:
Have moved to 5 Epoch Terrace, Paddington.
This is the address given on birth certificates for Jospehine and Harry, two illigitimate grand-children. William is stated to be formerly a Butler.
1881 census:
Still living in Epoch terrace. William is now a laundryman.
NB On Annie Marie's marriage certificate in 1882 he is a Butler.
1891 census:
Moved to 125 Lancefield Street, Kensal Town
William now a Butler (again) and Mary Ann a laundress.
In the same building in 1891: William Russum, his wife Mary and son Sydney. William is an Iron Founder.

- Richard was a coachman, and the family lived in London - on each census they are in Lowndes Mews.
However, their two youngest children were born in Warwickshire, and the two possible reasons for this are either they were visiting Richard's family, or perhaps the family Richard worked for had a country home in Warwickshire. [1]
