Dear Mother, I am going on to D. ward on Friday and pops also. I have heard that Ethel his comming home on Friday. With love from Son and pops.
Was there some kind of illness or accident that put Son, Pops, and Ethel in hospital? 26 Jun 1914 was a Friday. Mrs. G. was Eliza, and presumably Pops was George Edwin Barker. Ethel would be their daughter but, which of the lads was Son?

This is to wish you all a happy Easter. I hope you will get some eggs from home, but as I am still away I do not know whether they have been sent. I hope your brothers are all safe and well. Love from E. Roowe. (or Roome).
Ethel was grandaunt Ethel Barker, sister to Leah. E. Roowe or Roome?
Brief research seems to point to Ellen May Hipkiss who married Frederick Roome in Birmingham, 1903 (Jun qtr.). She was in 286 Cooksey Road, Birmingham, in 1939.
