  • Notes
    • Alan Victor Hawkey was killed in action in 'France and Flanders' on 25th August 1918. He was a private (number 631466) in the London Regiment, 20th (County of London) Battalion (Blackheath)

His residence is given as Hither Green at time of death

on the Find my past website in the section for soldiers who died in the Great War, the following informaiton is also given: 4.8.14 Holly Hedge House, Blackheath, SE 5th London Brigade, 2nd London Divison same as 1/18th Battalion.

I presume the 4.8.14 and Holly Hedge House are the date and place where Alan Victor signed up.
