- Arthur Brisby Flay served as an aerial gunnery instructor in the RAF wi th a rank of Sgt. He received a bullet wound while in the service th at is believed to have lead to his early death. He was awarded the 1914-1 915 star. He was transferred to the Reserve April 15, 1919.
Arthur left Liverpool, England on the "Aquatania" arriving in New York Ju ly 24, 1920. Ship manifest shows"Flay, Arthur B., 27 years 4 months, Mal e, Married, Carpenter. Relative in England: Sister, Mrs. Ellis, 37 Thor pe Road, Caldmore, Walsall. For permanent residence, to Mr. F. Turner, 1 31 Newington Avenue, Hartford, Conneticut." From Ellis Island Records. [2]
