    • From the 1841 Census (HO107 Piece 1372/17 Folio 6 Page 5, courtesy of Meriel and Ian Haynes), we find 7 year old Ann(e) at home with her parents, David and Ann, in Morfa Borth, Aberystwyth, Cardigan. Her parents are both aged 30 and her father is a Mariner. Her brother John (5) and sister Eliza (3) are also present.

      From the 1851 Census (HO107 Piece 2495 Folio 220 Page 2) Ann, 16, Employed at Home, was with her parents David, 43, a Master Mariner, and Ann, 44, at Glyndwr, Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. With her were her siblings John, 14, and Elizabeth, 11.

      From the 1861 Census (RG9 Piece 4240 Folio 73 Page 1) Ann, 26, a Dressmaker, was with her mother Ann, 54, a Sea Captain's Wife, at Alma Terrace, Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. Lodging with them was Margaret Williams, 18, a Dressmaker, from Llanbadarn, Cardiganshire.

      From the 1871 Census (RG10 Piece 5602 Folio 38 Page 35) Ann, a Dressmaker, was with her daughter Annie, 1, at a house in the High Street, Aberdovey, Merioneth. Visiting them was Ellen Watkin, widow, 34, from Carnarvon.

      From the 1881 Census (RG11 Piece 5478 Folio 60 Page 9) Ann, 45, a Mariner's Wife, is living at 1 Bridge End, Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. With her were her children Annie (E), 11, a Scholar, John James, 8, and David William, 3.

      From the 1891 Census (RG12 Piece 4587 Folio 46 Page 6) Ann, 56, was living with her husband James, 50, a Master Mariner, at 6 New Street, Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. With them were her Mother Ann, 82, their children Annie E, 21, a Dressmaker, John J(ames), 18, a Grocer, David W(illiam), 13, a Scholar and their nephew David J(ohn) Williams, 18, a Sailor.

      From the 1901 Census (RG13 Piece 3438 Folio 117 Page 1) Ann, 68, a widow, has moved to 132 Northbrook Street, Toxteth Park, Liverpool. With her were her sons John J(ames), 28, a Book Keeper, and David W(illiam), 23, a Student.

      OBITUARY.— Mrs. Morgan, widow of Capt. James Morgan, late of Cambrian House, died while on a visit to her daughter (Mrs Morgan Beavan, wife of the Rev. E. Morgan Beavan, Presbyterian minister, at Millwall), at their residence, 26, Park Place, Greenwich, London, on Saturday, July 22nd, at the age of eighty-two years. The remains were removed to Aberdovey for interment on Thursday, July 27th. The first part of the service was held at the Tabernacle C.M. Chapel of which the deceased was an active member for many years. Interment took place at the Cemetery, the officiating ministers being the Revs. John Lewis, pastor, and Robert Jones. The chief mourners were Mr and Mrs J. J. Morgan. Liverpool, son and daughter-in-law; the Rev. D. W. Morgan, B.A., and Mrs Morgan, son and daughter-in-law Hawys and Boy, grand- children, Abertillery; the Rev. E. Morgan Beavan and Mrs Morgan Beavan, London, son-in-law and daughter; Mrs Humphreys and Misses Humphreys, Tremafon; Mr John Evans and the Misses Evans, Meirion House; Mrs Rees and Misses Rees: Capt. and Mrs Owen Williams and Mr John Davies Williams, Aberdovey; Mrs (Capt.) Jones, Glendower; Mrs (Capt.) Davies; Miss Davies (Nathaniel); Miss Davies, Glenrosa, Borth; Mrs and Miss Jenkins, Talybont. A great number of old friends were present at the service in Chapel and walked with the funeral party to the Cemetery. A service in memory of the deceased was held at Princes' Road Church, Liverpool, on Sunday evening, August 6th, of which church she was a member at the time of her death. She had also been a member of the Everton Brow Presbyterian Church when her son (the Rev. D. W. Morgan) was pastor.
