      Alexander Falconer, 1st Lord Falconer of Halkertoun, 1643 2 Alexander Falconer, 1st Lord Falconer of Halkertoun was born in 1595. He was the son of Sir Alexander Falconer, 7th of Halkerton and Agnes Carnegie.3,4 He married Ann Lindsay, daughter of John Lindsay, 8th Lord Lindsay of the Byres and Anna Oliphant, in 1619.5 He and Ann Lindsay were divorced in 1627.4 He died in 1671. He held the office of Lord of Session.3 He was created 1st Lord Falconer of Halkertoun [Scotland] on 20 December 1647.3
