Hi Phil,
Thanks for your email - yes, I'm happy to share information - my Dadd links are rather remote however and my information rather scanty.
My Great Grandfather's brother Silas Morse married Alice Emily Dadd on 15 June 1895, at Blean District Registry Office. Although baptised Silas, he called himself William for most of his life and that is the name on his wedding certificate.
Alice Emily was the daughter of Edward William Dadd and Ann Susannah Marsh who with their children appear on the 1881 census in Seasalter, and the 1891 census in Whitstable. I'm afraid I haven't researched the Dadd family any further, other than to note that Edward and Ann married in 1858. Alice died in 1961 in Penarth, Glamorgan. I do have a photo of her and her husband if it is of interest.
My Hirons ancestors originate from South Warwickshire - I think I've accounted for all of them back as far as the turn of the 19th century, but prior to that I only have limited information - the family certainly appears to have been based in the Fenny Compton/Wormleighton area throughout most of the preceding century.
My family tree on Ancestry is currently private - It was visible to all for many years, but I grew increasingly weary of folk continually hijacking my research and tacking my records onto their own completely unrelated family lines. It was becoming almost a full time job writing to these people advising them of their errors. That said I'm more than happy to make the tree visible to you if you wish.
With kind regards,
John Hirons
