I am forever going off on tangents as I uncover more family members and I get a lot of emails (keep them coming) about family links from all over the world. Some emails I get are not directly related to the Williams Family Tree but interest me enough to do a little extra-curricular research! I have a lot of items ‘pending’ and promise to answer all emails eventually …

Right now, we have records of 38,923 individuals, 11836 families and 5170 surnames in the Williams Family Tree database. The size of the GEDCOM file that I have to upload to the web site every time I make any changes is now approaching 40Mb. This is the maximum file size that I am allowed to upload to my server! Ah well, as our lot always say, “where there’s a Williams, there’s a way!” and I have solved this problem by splitting the GEDCOM file into pieces and reassembling them on the server. This all takes time though, and so I might not be updating the web site as often as I have in the past.

More later …

My New Year Resolution should be to keep this Blog up to date but that would break a resolution I made years ago – not to make any more New Year Resolutions!
