      Hi Phil,

      I hope you're well.

I stumbled on your site. How fantastic. Hopefully some new news for you. I can continue one of your family lines that stopped at approx 1600s to current day (my family sitting at the bottom)

I've attached some photos of the family tree down from John Leith of Blair to almost current day (need a new page for my kids!)

There's some good family reading in there too. A couple of significant characters include

My favourite fact about John Shepherd, not to mention having holding most powerful position of most of the world at one point (when simultaneously holding role as chairman of both Hudson Bay group whilst it own 85%+ or USA and most of old India. Whilst he was Chairman of EOI Company, it was he who passed the Koh-I-noor diamond to Queen Victoria. Some great reading on the politics and importance of the biggest crown Jewell (worth 12.7 Billion) all over the web.

George and GR Elsmie were both very significant authorities in the Indian Civil Service. There's a lot of publications of them online.

I hope this is of use. Anything else I find I'll happily forward. I do have family photos as far back as 1830s-ish.

I'm not sure where this puts us on relationship terms. It seems you've built quite the tree. I'll try read through your blog and any person of significance in the free, please let me know.

      Speak soon.

      Thanks
      John
