- From the 1871 Census (RG10 Piece 3813 Folio 92 Page 26) we see that Eliza(beth), 46, was at home with her Sailor husband, William, 50, at 6 Opie Street, Everton, Liverpool, Lancashire. Their children Mary, 21, a Shoe Grinder, James, 15, an Office Boy, William, 13, an Office Boy, John, 11, Thomas 9 and Kate 6, were with them at the time.
From the 1881 Census (RG11 Piece 3661 Folio 77 Page 35) we see that Elizabeth, 58, was at home with her Mariner husband, William, 60, at 40 Potter Street, Everton, Liverpool, Lancashire. Their children James, 25, a Ship Steward, William, 23, a General Labourer, Thomas, 18, a Commercial Clerk and Kate, 16, were with them at the time.
From the 1891 Census (RG12 Piece 2961 Folio 32 Page 8) Eliza(beth), 66, was with her husband William, 72, a Ship's Rigger, at 5 Goodall Street, Kirkdale, Lancashire. With him was his son Thomas Edgar, 28, a Book Keeper, son-in-law John G(reen) Titherington, 28, a widower and warehouseman, and granddaughter Mary Eliza Kitts, 14. [1]
