      Took charge of Thornhill in 1872, joined his father at Erewhon in 1905. He later joined Dept of Agriculture and Stock, Qld. Was Stock Inspector for Banana and Mt Morgan shires.

      Gwenda Charlson says he became an inspector at the 'tick' station at Tweed Heads and he drowned while surfing there. [1]
