- From the 1851 Census (HO107 Piece 1651 Folio 168 Page 36) Ralph, 15, born London, was with his parents Ralph, 37, Retired Banker from Bedford, Bedfordshire, and Ellen, 36, from Axminster, Devonshire, at Stanford Cottage, Worthing, Sussex, England. With him were his siblings Ellen, 10, Scholar at home born London, Fanny, 8, Scholar at home British Subject born France, Frank, 6, Scholar at home British Subject born France, Frederick, 5, Scholar at home British Subject born France, William, 2, born Worthing, Sussex, and grandmother Anne Butler, widow, 79, Annuitant born Alresford, Hampshire. Visiting the family were Sarah Wiles, Fund Holder from Fareham, Hampshire, and aunt Mary Ann Hole, widow, 50, Annuitant born Axminster, Devon. Also present were servants Harriet Pile, 23, House Servant from Bath, Somerset, and Sally Edwards, 17, House Servant from Worthing, Sussex.

In Insolvency, -In the Insolvent Estate of RALPH CHOLMONDELEY
GODSCHALL JOHNSON, of Bowen, Surveyor -Whereas the said Ralph Cholmondeley Godschall Johnson was, on the 14th day of April,
A.D. 1871, adjudged to be an Insolvent, I hereby appoint a first Public Sitting of the Court to be holden before me, at the Supreme Court House, Brisbane, on MONDAY, the 1st day of May A.D. 1871, to commence at 11 o'clock, for the Proof of Debts against the said Estate and for the election of a Creditors' Assignee if required and also to determine whether any or what allowance for support shall be made to the Insolvent up to the time of passing his last examination, and whether any and what tools and wearing apparel shall be allowed to the Insolvent and a Second Public Sitting of the
Court at the same place on MODAY, the 3rd day of July, A.D. 1871 to commence at 11 o'clock for the Proof of Debts against the said Estate, and for such other matters connected with the Estate as may be required to be brought beforo the Court -Dated at Brisbane, the 22nd day of April A.D. 1871 ALFRED J.
