- From the 1841 Census (HO107 Piece 1455/1 Folio 5 Page 5) Mary, 16, was with her father Abraham, 35, Farmer, at Wainnant Stabal, Abbeycwmhir, Radnorshire, Wales. With her were her siblings Jane, 15, Abraham, 12, Ann, 10, and Margaret, 7. All members of the family were reportedly born in Radnorshire. Also present were James Williams, 18, from Radnorshire, and Owen Owens, 80, Ind., not from Radnorshire who we believe to be the father of Jane Owens, Abraham's deceased wife.
From the 1851 Census (HO107 Piece 2493 Folio 382 Page 8) Mary, 27, Labourer's Wife from Gollon, Radnorshire, was visiting (her brother-in-law) Thomas George, 35, Freeholder of 144 acres 2 servants from Llanannon, Radnorshire, and (her sister) Elizabeth, 29, from Llandinam, Montgomeryshire, their daughters (her nieces) Jane, 7, born Gollon, Radnorshire, and Margaret, 1, born Llananno, Radnorshire, and (her brother-in-law's mother) Margaret, widow, 61, Formerly Freeholder's Wife from Llananno, Radnorshireat Brynrhyg, Saint Harmon, Radnorshire, Wales. Also present were servants John Morris, 22, Farm Servant from Gollon, Radnorshire, and John Jones, 13, Farm Servant from Gollon, Radnorshire. With her was her son Thomas, 11 months, born Gollon, Radnorshire.
