Lives with Father George aged 50, a Shipwright, Mother Elizabeth aged 46, brother Joseph, 18 a Ships 'Smith', Christopher, 9, William Allcock, son in law, born Bishopswearmouth, aged 30, a cabman, Jane Allcock (Lamb) aged 23 and George Allcock aged 2.
1861 census living at 32 Burleigh Street, Sunderland. He is a 'Master' Mariner. lives with wife Jane, sons William, 10 George, 7 James, 5 and John, 2
1871 census living at 28 Norman Street, Sunderland aged 42. He is a Mariner. Living with Wife Jane aged 40 born in Sunderland. Sons William, 20, Mariner George, 18 Mariner James, 15 Mason. John, 13 Robert, 5 and Henry, 2. What happened to son John who would have been 12?
1881 census a Henry Lamb, sailmaker, lives at 37 Ford St, Bishopwearmouth, Durham. In the house are Father George, widowed, Brother George (with Wife Mary Ellen Lamb and daughter Mary Jane lamb aged 3), Robert and Thomas, Sister Isabella. All the adult males are seamen. [1]
