With him was his sister Melina, 6, Scholar born Greenwich, Kent. Visiting the family was his aunt Mary Ann Gardner, widow, 55, Pilot's Widow from Walmer, Kent. Also present was servant Mary Ann Garland, 19, House Servant from Blackheath Hill, Kent.
