- From the 1841 England Census for Duddeston and Nechells, Aston, Warwickshire (HO107 Piece 1149 Book 6 Folio 19 Page 2) Eliza, 14, was with her parents Joseph, 35, Butcher, and Sarah, 40, in Gosta Green, Aston, Warwickshire, England. With her were her siblings James, 12, Sarah, 10, May (sic), 3, and Joseph, 6 months. Also present was William Turnpenny, 60, ? from Ireland. The members of the family born in Warwickshire were Sarah senior, Eliza, James, and Joseph junior.
Note: Sarah was a widow when she married Joseph and so I think William Turnpenny was her ex-husband's father.

With her were her siblings Sarah, 19, Assistant Saleswoman born Coventry, Warwickshire, Mary,14, Scholar born Birmingham, Warwickshire, and Joseph, 12, Scholar born Birmingham, Warwickshire.

All the children were recorded as having been born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
