Alexander Innes was born on 29 March 1812.1 He was the son of William Innes and Jane Brebner, 4th of Learney.2,1 He married Ann Katherine Leith, daughter of General Sir Alexander Leith of Freefield and Glenkindie and Maria Thorp, on 5 April 1842.3 He died on 29 October 1883 at age 71.1 He held the office of Royal Company of Archers in 1841.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).3 He lived at Raemoir, Kincardineshire, Scotland.2 He lived at Cowie, Kincardineshire, Scotland.3
