  Dear Phil, Looking through some old family photos I found a picture of Marcus Tait's gravestone in India. It reads "Sacred to the Memory of No. 12813 Gunner Marcus Tait of X Battery Royal Horse Artillery died at Mhow 21st April 1912 Erected by his Comrades". My great uncle was also in the RHA as a gunner so possibly was a friend of Marcus.
