Hi, I too have an ancestor, William Goldup, who was serving aboard HMS Scout in the 1861 census. Any idea of what the ship was doing there and where it went after.

Very interesting site - hope I can help with more information on the Goodship family (ancestors & decendants). 😉
I have been busy doing my family research for years and have decided to now do my late mother-in-law's side, this is how I found your brilliant website. It has confirmed my own findings to do with the PETTS family. Well done + thanks for all the effort you've put in to this site + families.
Joseph Oram was my Great grandfather and to see his name here is very interesting
Wow, what a great & informative site. I have found distant relatives i didnt even knew existed. Brilliant. 🙂 😀
I love the great info, but the best is I found my great great grandfather's brother Thomas Cross of Chelsea. My gggrandfather George b:5/5/1832 came to USA in 1849 and started a new branch here that I hope will get added to this family tree
:)A very impressive tree with loads of information.Unlike my tree at Ancestry .com this is just so full of facts right from the beginning I'm utterly flabbergasted. Congratulations on such a great web site.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Phil - Thanks for the invitation to join the site! I'll find my way around a bit then set about adding my Ware ancestors.
Thanks for all you have done! I love your page on Charity Furber and see that you have both of the John Furbers as her sons. I just added the second John Furber to my ancestry tree with the 1841, 1851, 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901 census for him and his family. Also found his Son William B Furber married to Eliza A in 1901 with three kids. So glad to know how they all fit in!! You are the best 😉
Thank you Phil;
for your fantastic dedication, hard work and meticulous detail to The Williams Tree and its' many branches (including my own), giving both 'browsers' and 'users' a great facility to learn more about this ever-expanding family tree!
Good health and happiness to you - Sean Watkins
