My great, great grandfather was William Stafford, born in Whissendine in 1818. Am wondering if we are related.

Your great great great grandparents were William Stafford and Sophia Collin. Whether this William is my William Posnett Stafford I don't know (yet).
My William would have been 23 when the marriage took place - 21 Aug 1810 - so it's possible, especially as there are no records of another William baptised about the same time in Whissendine.
The connection to my William Posnett Stafford is via my wife's family and is not direct.
