Very interesting family tree. I believe Gwylim Pate was my Gret Uncle on my mothers side. I am struggling to verify his dates accurately but there can’t be many Pates from Pentre in the early 1900’s. Happy to fill in the gaps as we were close to the rest of his brothers and sisters

Hi Julian,
You are correct, there were not many Pates around in the early 1900s. According to Ancestry there were about 1,080 roaming around the country but only 26 in Glamorganshire. One of them was Gwilym Pate living at 58 Brunswick Road. He was a Colliery Clerk and his date of birth was given as 19th November 1912.
His birth was registered as William Isaac Pate and/or Gwilym I. Pate, Pontypridd, in the last quarter of 1912. His mother's maiden name was recorded as Morgans.
His death was registered in December of 2005 in Cardiff.
Again on Ancestry, his date of death was recorded as 23 December 2005, and his birth as 19 November 1912.
If you would like me to send you "proof" of the above please let me know. My email address is phil@williamsfamilytree.uk.
And yes please to any information you can provide to fill in the gaps. That would be most welcome. You will find that you are related to my niece's husband.
Cheers,
Phil.
