My husband Brian Murphy is descended from James Sutherland and his first wife, Margaret Fraser.Margaret died in NS about 1834
Their daughter Margaret Sutherland born 1828 in Boularderie NS in 1828 married Murdoch "Tanner" McKenzie in NS in 1848 and all the Sutherlands(or most of them) Murdoch McKenzie his wife and children and Margaret Frasers brother and sister and all their tribe came to NZ in 1858 on the Breadalbane.
Murdoch McKenzie and Margart Sutherland were the parents of James Alexander Sutherland McKenzie and his son James Hector McKenzie was my husbands mothers father.
