As we head rapidly into the festive season I have been busy behind the scenes updating the W-F-T Toolbar with a few new links that might be of interest.
Also, I have written more Greasemonkey scripts to aid in the retrieval of data from these ‘new’ websites.
The 1995-2005 New South Wales Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages website allows you to search the New South Wales registration records for Births from 1788 to 1908, Deaths from 1788 to 1978 and Marriages from 1788 to 1958.
The Queensland (Australia) Historical Indexes (Births, Deaths and Marriages) website similarly allows you to search the Queensland registration records for Births from 1829 to 1914, Deaths from 1829 to 1964 and Marriages from 1829 to 1934. For this site you have to enter the the full start date and so, to make life easier, the Greasemonkey script fills in the date 01/01/1829 for you!
Finally, the World War 2 Nominal Roll website allows a search of information from (mainly Australian) service records. The site was created to honour and commemorate the men and women who served in Australia’s defence forces and the Merchant Navy during World War 2.
