The research goes on!
Shirley and I have been trying to establish a link between her family and ours. Unfortunately, we have been unable to prove the link conclusively – so far. It would appear that the link, if indeed there is one, is further back in time than we can get to at the moment. There are so many Johns, Henrys and Williams that it is extremely difficult to sift them out. Also, some are not obviously present on the Census Returns – or we haven’t found them yet because of transcription errors.
On the positive side, I have been able to add a lot more of the Redshaw family to the database taking us up to 5620 individuals in the tree. Some of the relationships I have added are informed guesswork and if anyone is able to confirm or refute any of the information please get in touch.
