I googled my grandparents names which took me to your family tree. Looking at your information I believe the connection is the Barker family.
My Grandfather was Arthur William Smith however he died in 1989 not 1966.
My Grandmother was Beatrice May Smith and her mother was a Barker.

I just returned from a trip to Europe and after having my DNA tested I could never figure why so much of my DNA was from Europe until I found your page. My Grandfather the Raynold Thomas Schwetz and my Grandmother was Alta Mae Holmes. Re Charles Griffin (person I’d 189957). Charles married Esther Hancock 12/04/1842 at St Leonard’s, Shoreditch. They emigrated to Australia in 1853 aboard the MONTEAGLE. He died 9 May 1942 Rookwood, New South Wales. NSW BDM have him as Rupert Herbert Percy MAIDMENT. He is listed on the Find-a-grave site as Ruben H P MAIDMENT. He is buried at Rookwood General Cemetery, Zone F, Methodist New Section o4C, grave 29.

I came across this site whilst investigating my own family tree. I had got back to William De Trenoeth being the father of Margarett who married William Hore born circa 1447. Fascinating to fill in a few more dates and follow the Hore name down your tree.

I keep trying to find a link to your Williams tree. My family are from Rhosllannerchrugog. I have my father who was born there as Joseph Bellis Williams, his father was Joseph Thomas Williams, his father was Richard Williams. Now his father might have been Edward Williams but I cannot quite pin him down. There are several Edward Williams in the area but I doubt it’s the Edward Williams whose occupation was listed as mariner.

If I am correcnt in thinking that Richard Williams married Jane Swift in 1872, it was Jane's father who was an Edward (a Coachman) and Richard's father was Hugh (a Shoemaker).
Whether there is a connection to my Williams Family Tree remains to be seen.
